Lincoln, NH: SKI for MS @ Loon Mountain

SKI for MS, a day-long community fundraising event benefiting people with multiple sclerosis, will hit the slopes of Loon Mountain on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018. One of six stops in a nationwide event series, the event benefits Can Do MS, a national nonprofit organization that delivers health education programs for families with MS. Programs focus on exercise, nutrition, symptom management, and the motivation to thrive in life.

SKI for MS features on-mountain and après activities for people of all ages and ability levels. Attendees who sign up to fundraise will receive a personal web page that they can customize with their own messages and photos to honor loved ones touched by MS and inspire others to support their participation.

We encourage you to create a team with friends and family, and raise $300 to earn VIP perks (lift ticket for the day and continental breakfast), and continue fundraising to win a variety of exciting prizes.

Fundraising incentives feature Patagonia backpacks (raise only $500 to receive this!) and Patagonia fleece and jackets. Great raffle prizes are drawn at the apres party and medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the ski race with male, female, youth and team divisions.

This year, Tyler Hamilton (ex-pro bike racer and ski racer), will be giving tips at the ski race and awarding medals at the apres party, along with other local celebrities!

About Can Do MS
A national nonprofit organization based in Avon, Colo., Can Do MS delivers health education programs on exercise, nutrition and symptom management to inspire and motivate long-lasting change for those with MS and their families to help them thrive. Can Do MS honors the legacy and beliefs of founder and Olympic ski racing medalist Jimmie Heuga, a pioneer in the MS care management field, who was diagnosed with MS at the height of his skiing career and later went on to revolutionize the way MS is managed today. About SKI for MS
SKI for MS began when Can Do MS founder Jimmie Heuga organized the first Snow Express for MS in Alyeska, AK. Original participants included fellow world-class skiers Jean Claude Killy, Phil and Steve Mahre, Billy Kidd, Stein Eriksen, and Bernhard Russi, who together broke records when they skied one million vertical feet in 24 hours. This event raised the seed money needed to start Can Do MS and it continues to be an important fundraiser for the organization.
