Incorporate accumulated clinical evidence, current guidelines and emerging new clinical data into individualize education regarding DMTs for MS as part of a comprehensive approach to nursing care and education in multiple sclerosis.
Identify and address symptoms experienced by patients with MS, with attention to their values and goals of treatment, and with appropriate implementation of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
Integrate a multidisciplinary approach to care by recognizing, assessing, and addressing psychological and cognitive issues in patients with MS and including team members with specialized knowledge and skills in each area.
