As more is known about MS, the consensus is: MOVE YOUR MUSCLES!!! There are so many things that you can do even on the side of your bed with a tie to stretch your legs. It doesn’t matter what you do, just do something. You just need to follow two rules: 1. never put yourself in a position to fall. 2. Never push yourself too much, you hurt yourself. You know your body better than anyone so just do what you can. Always talk to your doctor about exercise & work with your physical therapist to find what is right for you.
There are many programs such as chair yoga which are paid for by grants from the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or exercise programs at your local senior center. Many of the pharmaceutical companies have put out MS exercise & yoga videos that you can get for free.
